Description

Yaverland beach is north of Sandown on the Isle of White. It’s a mile long and at low tide, offers acres of sand and safe swimming. The far end, beyond the red cliffs has been naturist for many years and on a warm day can attract a good crowd. Occasional dog walkers rarely bat an eye. "It’s a great place!"

Care is needed walking by the red cliffs, as there are regular falls and half tide or lower is ideal.

At low tide, one has to walk quite a way before the sea is deep enough to swim.

On Spring high tides, the nude section gets cut off for a few hours and the pebble bank remains above the tide line.
