This ride follows a river / canal / navigation towpath from docklands north through the inner suburbs, out past the M25 to Hertford. Links with the Thames Path and Regents Park canal rides in the south. The path was improved for the Olympics, and now extends to the Thamaes at the Limehouse basin The inner London sections will be busy at commuting times and weekends, but gets peaceful towards the north |
Travel | Many train stations. Trains from Kings Cross go to Heretford. Trains from Liverpool Street go to Hertford, and many other stations inbetween. At the south, Limehouse (from Fenchurch Street) is the closest station. Free on-street parking at weekends, or weekdays away from stations towards the north of the walk. |
