Walk Notes

Shrewsbury is a pretty town with medieval streets and 600+ preserved historical buildings. It has a lovely location set in a loop of the River Severn.

There is an Abbey, several churches, a riverside walk, a small castle, a town museum/art gallery, and an old town with pedestrian street with many historical buildings

The town's hayday was in the middle ages with the wool trade - that the industrial revolution passed it by spared it during WW2 and 60's/70's redevelopments.

There are no spectacular sights as such, just its location and the riverside walk, and the maze of medieval streets lined with historic buildings
