Saturday, largely dry with occasional bright or sunny spells.

  • Any early mist or fog patches soon clearing
  • Largely dry, with variable amounts of cloud and occasional bright or sunny spells, but also the chance of the odd mainly light shower
  • Gentle winds
  • Maximum Temperature 19C

Tonight:

  • Cloud tending to break overnight allowing clear spells to develop more widely, but also some patchy fog forming in places, especially in the east
  • Generally light winds
  • Minimum Temperature 5C

Sunday:

  • Early fog patches will soon disperse
  • A dry day to follow with warm sunny spells, and generally light winds
  • Maximum Temperature 21C

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

  • Dry and sunny conditions through the outlook period, with temperatures trending upwards to become very warm
  • Generally light winds

UK Day 6-7 and week 2

  • Fine, dry and very warm across the majority of the UK at the start of this period with long clear or sunny spells
  • However, it is expected to be cloudier in the far north with some rain at times
  • Some of this rain will likely spread southwards late next week before clearing to leave a mainly dry and sunny weekend, although with temperatures closer to normal than on preceding days
  • Into the following week, it will probably turn more changeable, with dry, settled periods interspersed with some spells of wetter weather
  • This will bring some showers or longer spells of rain at times, which could be heavy and thundery
  • Temperatures will probably be near normal

  • Fairly typical spring weather is expected during this part of May
  • Periods of fine and dry weather are likely to be interspersed with spells of wetter, more unsettled weather, with a risk of heavy rain and thunderstorms
