A bright start but turning wet later today.

  • A dry start with some bright spells, but cloud gradually increasing throughout the day
  • Outbreaks of rain then arriving during the afternoon, perhaps heavy by dusk
  • Mild but tempered somewhat by a strengthening wind
  • Maximum Temperature 13C

Tonight:

  • A wet and windy night to come, with the rain turning heavy at times
  • The rain likely to become confined to the Thames Estuary and English Channel coasts by dawn
  • Minimum Temperature 8C

Monday:

  • A cloudy and damp start in the south and east, but this will gradually clear east, leaving a day of sunshine and showers
  • The showers perhaps turning heavy at times
  • Maximum Temperature 12C

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

  • Remaining unsettled with further showers or longer spells of rain
  • The rain will be interspersed by some sunshine, especially on Wednesday
  • Temperatures around average for late February
