    amib, Nov-11

Around 10.3 miles (though I recorded in excess of 11) of walking in one of my favourite parts of the SE, The Weald. Remote in places, Oldey-Worldey and, Gatwick jet-noise aside, relatively peaceful. With beautiful late November weather to boot, this was a lovely day's walking!

Starting out from Cowden, it only takes a few minutes before the walker is viewing classic Wealden scenery; undulating hills, woods and remote settlements are passed before a descent into The Eden Valley village of Penshurst for lunch.

Thereafter, it's more of the same as the route pretty much follows the Eden Valley Walk right into Hever station!

No shots of either Chiddingstone or Hever castles today, I'm afraid.

    (Some wind interference).
