This was a very pleasant 11 mile walk in a quieter part of the South Downs National Park.
Much of the walk follows the Hangers Way, and, on a hot summer's day, the tree cover provided welcome respite from the sun.
There are some fine views of the South Downs from Shoulder of Mutton Hill, where this walker paused for lunch, though a pub alternative is available in the nearby village of Hawkley.
Thereafter, it's through more woodland, across meadows and along quiet lanes prior to reaching Liss.
This is a lovely walk, through some very peaceful scenery - highly recommended!
(The footpath after Liss cemetery that passes some gardens on the left is almost impassable at this time of year; you'd be better off taking the style prior and cutting across the field on your right).
Around 11 miles of walking through the Hampshire countryside. Much of the walk follows the Hangers Way, through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with a fine view from the top of Shoulder of Mutton Hill.
