Staplehurst to Headcorn or Cranbrook Walk
An easy walk through fields in the Kentish Weald, with some fine bluebell woods en route, and an option to visit Sissinghurst Gardens (NT).

This was a decent 9 miler (8 'officially') between two stations not previously visited by this walker, apparently. Undertaken on an overcast afternoon, the walker soon leaves the residential areas of Staplehurst to pass through some typical Low Wealden countryside; fields, woods and the occasional oast conversion.
Lunch is taken at the lovely St Mary's church, Frittenden, where there is even a picnic table!
The walker was lucky with the paths today, encountering little mud, but this is likely to change very shortly, no doubt! No cattle either and the GPX track worked well.
A good walk for the shorter days, if you get a relatively dry day. The nearby aerodrome can be a bit annoying, considering this is a remote area otherwise.
(Unbeknownst to the walker at the time, the very large moon briefly filmed at Headcorn station was a 'Beaver Moon', the last full moon of the year).
