Plenty of fine views on this short High Weald walk to the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

This was an excellent Winter walk of around 8.5 miles in The High Weald, near the East Sussex/Kent border. It was very decent weather as well.
Initially following the Sussex Border Path, the terrain is one of open ridges, with some fine views, and wooded valleys with small steams.
After reaching the A267, the walker follows a boggy path through trees alongside the landscaped grounds of the Nevill Estate's Eridge Old Park.
Lunch is quickly had at St.Alban's church, Frant, before more woods and pastures are crossed to reach Royal Tunbridge Wells.
Thereafter, it's a section of back streets and quiet alley-ways to reach The Grove, a small park, where this walk concludes.
Another Wealden Wonder, with typically damp Wealden paths, but glorious sunshine. A treat!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
