Another visit to a walk last undertaken in July 2009, and recorded on the mobile then. Unfortunately, due to train delays, this walker couldn't replicate the Little Kimble (which only has an hourly service) start, but, thanks to GPS technology, was able to do the walk in reverse.
It was another glorious Spring afternoon for this 10.7 miles, with blue skies, sunshine and a cooling south easterly breeze, with occasional gusts. Being a mainly wooded walk, however, these don't really present on the commentary.
With no church on this route, the walker lunches where convenient.
This was a very good walk, and felt remoter and wilder than others done in the Chilterns area, though Luton air-traffic, which will now get worse in the future, is audible. The paths were very dry today and the GPX track made getting through the woods simple enough. The birds were in full voice as well.
Highly recommended!
